Humpty Dumpty

Image result for humpty dumpty cute cartoon"

In a faraway land, there lived an egg called Humpty Dumpty. Humpty Dumpty liked to jump and skip. The people were worried that Humpty Dumpty might fall and break himself. They advised him to be careful. Humpty Dumpty did not care and continued to jump and skip as much as he liked.

One day, Humpty Dumpty climbed up and sat on a high brick wall. He sang and rocked his body to and fro. Suddenly, he lost his balance and fell to the ground.

The king’s men and their horses were nearby. They saw Humpty Dumpty fall. They quickly rushed to help. But they were too late. Humpty Dumpty’s shell was broken. His egg white and yolk were splattered all over the place. There was nothing that they could do to help Humpty Dumpty anymore.
Moral of the story :

You should listen to advice if it is for your own good.

Last Holiday

My Last Holiday

My end of year holiday at 2019 to 2020 was surprisingly fun. Although I spent most of my holiday at home, I found it very refreshing after an exhausting semester at school. At the beginning of the holiday, I still went to school because of my extracurricular. I practiced and finally performed at 21st of December 2019. After all, I enjoyed my holiday at home. When I didn't have to go anywhere, I relished the day. Starting by waking up anytime I want, taking shower as many time as I want, then doing every relaxing things I desire. But I do have plans for my days. I planned to rearrange my bedroom and clean it. Then I want to finish watching a series that I've been watched for awhile now. And the rest of my list are just enjoy my holiday as fun as it can be. I end up finished those things, so I can say I satisfied with my holiday.

In between the holiday, there is Christmas too! The most wonderful time of the year. I spent my Christmas like the rest of Christmas I spent my entire life, at my grandma's house, with all of my family. I'm very thrilled because all of family could spend the Christmas together this year. Despite all the things and differences we had between us, we could spend our Christmas as a family, and that's pretty amazing. Another Christmas magic we have every year is the presents! I love the satisfaction that is given by the unwrapping part from opening the presents. I got a lot of gifts this year and I really like every single one of it. Beside going to the church, having Christmas lunch, and opening the presents, we also catch up with our stories from the year we about to end. We all had fun at Christmas, I wished Christmas could be more often...

After Christmas, we also celebrated the new year. I spent new year eve at my grandma's again. The view from my grandmother's house is really beautiful and we can see most of the city from there because her home is at the hills. After me and my family went to the church, we had dinner and then we had barbecue at the backyard as we watched a lot of firework from the city. We passed the time quickly with a lot of conversation and some movies. By the time of midnight we all gathered at the backyard to make a toast and give each other new year kisses. Most of us are already sleepy, so after that we went to sleep and woke up at the new year!

So that is my kind of holiday. It maybe not that interesting for a lot of people. But for me it was what I needed and what I love to do. And spending it with my family just made things a lot more better!

Animal Classification

Cheetah

Hello! Today I'm going to tell you about an incredible animal called cheetah. The cheetah is the world's fastest land mammal. With acceleration that would leave most automobiles in the dust, a cheetah can go from 0 to 60 miles an hour in only three seconds. These big cats are quite nimble at high speed and can make quick and sudden turns in pursuit of prey. So here's somethings you might want to know about cheetah.

COMMON NAME: Cheetah
SCIENTIFIC NAME: Acinonyx jubatus
TYPE: Mammals
DIET: Carnivore
AVERAGE LIFE SPAN IN THE WILD: 10 to 12 years
SIZE: 3.5 to 4.5 feet; tail: 25.5 to 31.5 inches
WEIGHT: 77 to 143 pounds
SIZE RELATIVE TO A 6-FT MAN:

Speed and Hunting

Before unleashing their speed, cheetahs use exceptionally keen eyesight to scan their grassland environment for signs of prey—especially antelope and hares. This big cat is a daylight hunter that benefits from stealthy movement and a distinctive spotted coat that allows it to blend easily into high, dry grasses.

When the moment is right a cheetah will sprint after its quarry and attempt to knock it down. Such chases cost the hunter a tremendous amount of energy and are usually over in less than a minute. If successful, the cheetah will often drag its kill to a shady hiding place to protect it from opportunistic animals that sometimes steal a kill before the cheetah can eat. Cheetahs need only drink once every three to four days.

Breeding and Population

Female cheetahs typically have a litter of three cubs and live with them for one and a half to two years. Young cubs spend their first year learning from their mother and practicing hunting techniques with playful games. Male cheetahs live alone or in small groups, often with their littermates.
Most wild cheetahs are found in eastern and southwestern Africa. These populations are under pressure as the wide-open grasslands they favor are disappearing at the hands of human settlers.

Cheetah's scientific classification

Kingdom: Animalia

Phylum: Chordata

Class: Mammalia

Order: Carnivora

Family: Felidae

Subfamilies : The Felidae family consists of 2 subfamilies (Pantherniae and Felinae) and 4 extant genera (Felis, Neofelis, Panthera, and Acinonyx) and 38 species.
Subfamily: Pantherinae
Panthera includes lions, tigers, jaguars, and leopards.
Cats in this grouping have the ability to "roar" but not "purr". (See "Purring" vs. "Roaring" Cats section in Communication.)
Roaring occurs due to "ossified hyoid and both divided and undivided vocal folds". This statement refers to the twiglike hyoid bones in the neck that help to anchor the tongue in place. These larger-sized cats have tongues further secured in place with a longer length of tough cartilage that begins at the hyoid bones and ends in the skull. This prevents a member of Panthera from purring but is flexible enough to allow their larynx the ability to roar.
Most in this family prefer to make other sounds (snarling, hissing, grunting, yowling, coughing) — the lion is the only Panthera member that roars regularly.
Subfamily: Felinae
Felinae includes all non-roaring cats (cheetah, lynx, bobcat, caracal, puma, fishing cat, ocelot, margay, jaguarundi, and serval).
Cats in this grouping have the ability to "purr" but not "roar". (See "Purring" vs. "Roaring" Cats section in Communication.)
Purring occurs due to "imperfect ossified hyoid and undivided vocal folds". This statement refers to the twiglike hyoid bones in the neck that help to anchor the tongue in place, which, when combined with a Felinae's ability to vibrate its larynx, produces a purring sound.
No one knows why those in this subfamily developed the ability to purr, but one theory suggests the mother Felinae began to purr to help mask and camouflage the mewing sounds her vulnerable kittens made during nursing

Genus: Acinonyx
The cheetah is the only cat species in this genus as they are the only type of Felidae that cannot fully retract its claws.
Species: jubatus

Subspecies :
There are five recognized cheetah subspecies:
A. j. hecki: Northwest Africa
A. j. fearsoni: East Africa
A. j. jubatus: Southern Africa
A. j. soemmerringi: Northeast Africa
A. j. venaticus: North Africa to central India

"Cheetah" is derived from the Hindi word Chita, meaning "spotted one".
Acinonyx means "no move claw" in Greek — a reference to its non-retractile claws.

The hair on a cheetah is longer on the nape than elsewhere — this feature is more visible on cubs as the mane is more pronounced and extends over the head, neck, and back. The word jubatus means "mane" or "crested" in Latin — likely this is in reference to the mane found on cheetah when they are cubs.

Fossil Record

An explanation for the speed of the pronghorn may have been the presence of cheetah species which would have hunted then at one time on the North American continent.
Recent detailed DNA studies shows evidence that all living cats can be traced back to panther-like predators that existed in Southeast Asia 10.8 million years ago.
Once considered alone in separate subfamily, cheetahs have now been grouped with pumas (Puma concolor) and jaguarundis (Puma jagouaroundi) according to detailed DNA analysis. This group diverged some 6.9 million years ago.
It is believed that the cheetah may have originated in North America before spreading to Eurasia and Africa. Pronghorns, the fastest animal in North America, reaches speeds of up to 60 mph — far faster than any living North America predator including coyotes, wolves, and pumas. One explanation to their superior speed is that such acceleration was needed against the threat of previous North American cheetah species, which likely hunted them in the past.
Two extinct cheetah-like cats are known to have existed in North America — Miracinonyx inexpectata and M. trumani. Based on a nearly complete skeleton found at Hamilton Cave, West Virginia, M. inexpectata was larger than A. jubatus and had fully retractable claws. Based on hundreds of bones found at Natural Trap Cave in Wyoming, M. trumani was larger but similar to A. jubatus.
The oldest cheetah fossils, found in eastern and southern Africa, are approximately 3.5 to 3 million years old. Early fossils of A. jubatus were discovered in Northern Tanzania, Africa. A. jubatus is believed to have existed 3 million years ago, roughly the same time as the now extinct Acinonyx pardinensis, an Eurasian cheetah species that was approximately the same size as today's lion species (Panthera leo).

1. What is the most famous fact about cheetah?
2. What is cheetah's favourite prey?
3. What is cheetah's red list status?

Biography About Famous Person

Walt Disney

Hasil gambar untuk walt disney biography

Hi! Today I will tell you about one of my favourite role model, one of the most famous person in the world, Walt Disney. I admire Walt Disney because he has a lot of amazing work, had an amazing life, and was a noble person. He was an American motion picture and television producer and showman, famous as a pioneer of cartoon films, and as the creator of the amusement parks Disneyland and Disney world.

Walter Elias Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 5, 1901. He is the fourth of five children born to Elias and Flora Call Disney. His father, a strict and religious man who often physically abused his children, was working as a building contractor when Walter was born. Soon afterward, his father took over a farm in Marceline, Missouri, where he moved the family. Walter was very happy on the farm and developed his love of animals while living there. He began to draw, paint and sell pictures to neighbors and family friends. After the farm failed, on 1911, the family moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where Walter helped his father deliver newspapers. His uncle, Mike Martin, was a train engineer who worked the route between Fort Madison, Iowa and Marceline. Later, Disney would work a summer job with the railroad, selling snacks and newspapers to travelers, where he developed a love for trains. Disney attended McKinley High School in Chicago, where he took drawing and photography classes and was a contributing cartoonist for the school paper. At night, he took courses at the Art Institute of ChicagoWhen Disney was 16, he dropped out of school to join the Army but was rejected for being underage. Instead, he joined the Red Cross and was sent to France for a year to drive an ambulance. He moved back to the U.S. in 1919.

In 1919, Disney moved to Kansas City to pursue a career as a newspaper artist. His brother Roy got him a job at the Pesmen-Rubin Art Studio, where he met cartoonist Ubbe Eert Iwwerks, better known as Ub Iwerks. From there, Disney worked at the Kansas City Film Ad Company, where he made commercials based on cutout animation. Around this time, Disney began experimenting with a camera, doing hand-drawn cel animation. He decided to open his own animation business. From the ad company, he recruited Fred Harman as his first employee. Disney and Harman made a deal with a local Kansas City theater to screen their cartoons, which they called Laugh-O-Grams. The cartoons were hugely popular, and Disney was able to acquire his own studio, upon which he bestowed the same name. Laugh-O-Gram hired a number of employees, including Iwerks and Harman's brother Hugh. They did a series of seven-minute fairy tales that combined both live action and animation, which they called Alice in CartoonlandBy 1923, however, the studio had become burdened with debt, and Disney was forced to declare bankruptcy.
Initial failure with Ub Iwerks sent Disney to Hollywood, California, in 1923. In partnership with his older brother, Roy, he began producing Oswald the Rabbit cartoons for Universal Studios. The company soon changed its name to Walt Disney Studios, at Roy’s suggestion. After a contract dispute led to the end of this work, Disney and his brother decided to come up with their own character. Their first success came in Steamboat Willie, which was the first all-sound cartoon. It also featured Disney as the voice of a character first called "Mortimer Mouse." Disney's wife, Lillian (whom he had married in 1925) suggested that Mickey sounded better, and Disney agreed. Disney reinvested all of his profits toward improving his pictures. He insisted on technical perfection, and his gifts as a story editor quickly pushed his firm ahead. The invention of such cartoon characters as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Minnie, and Goofy, combined with the clever use of music, sound, and folk material (as in The Three Little Pigs ), made the Disney shorts of the 1930s successful all over the world. This success led to the establishment of the hugely profitable, Disney-controlled sidelines in advertising, publishing, and merchandising. Disney rapidly expanded his studio operations to include a training school where a whole new generation of artists developed and made possible the production of the first feature-length cartoon, Snow White (1937). Other costly animated features followed, including Pinocchio, Bambi, and the famous musical experiment Fantasia. With Seal Island (1948), wildlife films became an additional source of income. In 1950 Treasure Island led to what became the studio's major product, live-action films, which basically cornered the traditional "family" market. Disney's biggest hit, Mary Poppins, was one of his many films that used occasional animation to project wholesome, exciting stories containing sentiment and music.
In 1954 Disney successfully invaded television, and by the time of his death the Disney studio had produced 21 full-length animated films, 493 short subjects, 47 live-action films, 7 True-Life Adventure features, 330 hours of Mickey Mouse Club television programs, 78 half-hour Zorro television adventures, and 280 other television shows. On July 18, 1957, Disney opened Disneyland in Anaheim, California, the most successful amusement park in history, with 6.7 million people visiting it by 1966. The idea for the park came to him after taking his children to other amusement parks and watching them have fun on amusement rides. He decided to build a park where the entire family could have fun together. In 1971 Disney World in Orlando, Florida, opened. Since then, Disney theme parks have opened in Tokyo, Japan, and Paris, France. Disney also dreamed of developing a city of the future, a dream that came true in 1982 with the opening of Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (EPCOT). EPCOT, which cost an initial $900 million, was planned as a real-life community of the future with the very latest in technology (the use of science to achieve a practical purpose). The two principle areas of EPCOT are Future World and World Showcase, both of which were designed for adults rather than children. Furthermore, Disney created and funded a new university, the California Institute of the Arts, known as Cal Arts. He thought of this as the peak of education for the arts, where people in many different forms could work together, dream and develop, and create the mixture of arts needed for the future. Disney once commented: "It's the principal thing I hope to leave when I move on to greener pastures. If I can help provide a place to develop the talent of the future, I think I will have accomplished something." Disney's parks continue to grow with the creation of the Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, and an extensive sports complex in Orlando. The Disney Corporation has also branched out into other types of films with the creation of Touchstone Films, into music with Hollywood Records, and even into vacations with its Disney Cruise Lines. In all, the Disney name now covers a multi-billion dollar enterprise, with business ventures all over the world. In 1939 Disney received an honorary (received without meeting the usual requirements) Academy Award, and in 1954 he received four more Academy Awards. In 1965 President Lyndon B. Johnson (1908–1973) presented Disney with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and in the same year Disney was awarded the Freedom Foundation Award. Walt Disney, happily married for forty-one years, was moving ahead with his plans for huge, new outdoor recreational areas when he died on December 15, 1966, in Los Angeles, California. At the time of his death, his enterprises had brought him respect, admiration, and a business empire worth over $100 million a year, but Disney was still mainly remembered as the man who had created Mickey Mouse almost forty years before.
Then, he inspired millions of people, including me with his story. But mostly people just know him as the guy that created their favourite cartoon characters. That's one of the reason I want to share his story, how he can be like he was. I hope you enjoy it, motivated to always do what you love, and never stop dreaming!

Museum Kata Andrea Hirata

Museum Kata Andrea Hirata

Hello everyone! Today I'm gonna tell you about one amazing museum that I have visited in Indonesia. The name of the museum is Museum Kata Andrea Hirata. It is located on Jalan Raya Laskar Pelangi number.7, Gantong, Belitung Timur.

It is the first and the only literature museum in Indonesia, that was built by Andrea Hirata himself. Andrea Hirata Seman Said Aaron is a famous Indonesian novel writer. He was born on October 24th, 1967 in Gantong, Belitung Timur, Bangka Belitung island. He was born in the poor village and had a difficult childhood. He was inspired by his pain on his childhood and wrote a novel called Laskar Pelangi. Laskar Pelangi is very famous, it is translated to 34 other language and published by more than 130 countries. He got very success and he decided to built this museum to fulfill his promise when he received the profit from his novel. He promised to build something permanent that has educational value in Belitung. The idea to built this museum comes when Andrea visited Mark Twain Boyhood's house and museum at Hannibal Missouri, US, where he went to collage at University of Iowa for study literature for 7 months.

The museum was built at 2010 and officially opened for public at 2012. The concept of the museum is taken from The Laskar Pelangi novel. When we walk in the museum, we will instantly feel the vibes from Laskar Pelangi. The first thing we will see if we come in is the museum yard which is filled with photos that tell us about the journey of the literature work that Belitung people proud of. Then inside the building, there are several rooms. Some of the rooms named after the characters from Laskar Pelangi, Ikal, Lintang, and Mahar. In each rooms there are lots of photos and things that relate with each characters. On Ikal room, there are so much unique art and history from all over the world. Beside that rooms, there is a room that very comfortable and filled with books and other things that tell us about Laskar Pelangi and it's achievement. Then there is a place to hangout and chilling called Warung Kopi Kuli, we can drink coffee and enjoy the traditional atmosphere. At the back of the museum, there is a room called Kata room, we can read various books peacefully in there.

We will get a Laskar Pelangi pocket book if we visit the museum. Eventhough we are required to pay if we want to go inside, for me it is very worth it because we will have an amazing experience. Also the museum is very nice and the structure is very aesthetic and good for taking pictures. The building and the things inside of it, is very interesting and very educational. I wish there will be many museum like this in Indonesia, so Indonesian people can learn about literature so much more.

Here are some photos of me at Museum Kata Andrea Hirata, enjoy!
